Welcome to Dellwood
New Residents
We are pleased you chose our city as the place to make your home. The following information provides municipal services, residential ordinances, and expectations of a Dellwood resident along with the names of elected officials to be of service to you and to become familiar with our city and hopefully to become a long-term Dellwood resident.
Meetings
The Board of Aldermen meet:
- 7:30 p.m., second Monday of each month
There are 4 WARDS within the city of Dellwood. Each WARD is assigned 2 Alderpersons. The public is always welcome to attend any of the scheduled meetings. If you'd like to serve on a board or commission with the city, please call City Hall to receive an information packet.
Parks
Dellwood has 3 city parks; Dellwood Park, Nicolai Park, and Bon Oak Park. Each park has a pavilion that can be reserved for picnics, reunions, birthday parties, graduations, etc. You must be a Dellwood resident in order to reserve the park pavilion. Your reservation must be made in person and an ID is required at that time.
Recreation Center
The Dellwood Recreation Center has an indoor soccer arena for use all year around. We also have an outdoor swimming pool that is open during the latter part of May through September.
Dellwood Recreation Center also provides our residents access to a computer lab and fitness facility, open:
- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday - 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday - 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Saturday - 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
In the lobby of our Recreation Center, a game room is available and for private events, a small Meeting / Party room is available as well.
Please contact the Recreation Center office during regular business hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday for rental and availability.
Dellwood 60+ Club
This is an organization of Dellwood residents 55 years of age and older that meet at the Dellwood Recreation Center, the second Tuesday of each month at 11 a.m. The club format includes an informational meeting followed by entertainment and activities. Each participant brings their own sack lunch. Drinks and a small dessert are provided.
Sanitary Sewer Lateral Program
Dellwood is a participant in this program in which the residents pay $28 per year on their Real Estate Tax bill. If you are having problems, please contact City Hall for the necessary qualifications.
Fire Protection
Most of Dellwood area is protected by the Metro North Fire District which is operated by a separate governmental agency. The Metro Fire station is located at 1815 Chambers Road and is manned by full-time firemen.
Blackjack Fire Department also provides protection for a portion of the Dellwood area. Blackjack Fire Department is located at 12490 Old Halls Ferry Road.

Police Services
The City of Dellwood contracts its police services through North County Police Cooperative. The city has patrolmen on the street at all times. If you see any activity or behavior that is suspicious or makes you feel uncomfortable, please contact the non-emergency police dispatcher at 314-428-6868. For emergencies, dial 911.
Home Owner Responsibilities
Homeowners and renters are responsible for all utilities (gas, electric, water, phone, sewers, and trash). A list of phone numbers is provided within this packet. Dellwood has annual "exterior" inspection on all residential and commercial properties in the late spring. All residents / merchants are always notified of any discrepancies with their property and must rectify the predication(s) within the allotted time.
